I live in Arizona where there is very little rain most of the year.....but we do have what is known as Monsoon season where you really need an umbrella.My last umbrella was a cheap one that I purchased at Walmart and only lasted one season before breaking. I was given the opportunity to try this umbrella out at a discount and since the stats looked promising I decided to give it a try.When I opened the box I was immediately impressed. As you open the box there is a "Thank You" from the company that lets you know that they want your experience to be 5 stars and you can contact them if you have any issues. You can tell they put customers and quality first. As you take the umbrella out of the protective plastic the first impression is that you have just purchased a very well made umbrella.They advertise best in class fabric. The minute you feel it you will agree. I can't describe the fabric - but it feels substantial and yet almost luxurious. This is nothing like the umbrellas you will find at most stores like Target and walmart. The handle looks and feels great - the accents are copper and the black/copper combination is really sharp. The umbrella opens very easily and you can feel that this is a quality piece with strong mechanicals. I love the push button open/close - it's great to not struggle opening and closing it like other umbrellas.It's compact when not in use (just under 12") and expands to 45" for good coverage.I received this product at a discount to try and was asked (but not required) to give an honest, unbiased, and fair review. This is one handsome product.From the way it was packaged down to the overall design.Made from a Teflon material, a polymer called polytetrafluoroethene or PTFE.It is very slippery, so it's difficult for dirt or rain to stick.The canopy is made from 210T micro-weave fabric features higher density compare to inferior 190T polyester fabric.The quality of the material is very thick, with a slight texture and gloss to it.The material does in fact have a distinguishing scent.Much like any chemical compound, this has a smell of something synthetic that isn't quite noticeable unless you press your nose to it or allow it to overheat. (Heated Teflon gives off a strong scent when heated, just a warning!)The structure of the umbrella is really nice.Despite the season being in summer, I am sure this will hold up in the windy seasons.I have taken it out with me to shield me from the heat but as I mentioned, the scent was a bit noticeable.The non-slip rubber handle is a very nice, the tempered black steel shaft is sturdy and heavy-duty.They claim that this umbrella will never rust and 100% anti-corrosion, I have yet to justify that claim but so far, so good.There is also an "open" mechanism that you push on the handle, which opens your umbrella beautifully.I love how Fnova included a sleeve to put over your umbrella.I also adore how Fnova put their name and logo all over this product, it shows pride in their products.I truly respect that.It arrived in a nice brown box, complete with company logo.packaged nicely inside with pamphlets.All in all, a very nice product for the price.5/5-The following rating comes from:1 star- Packaging.Read more ›

Just got it, but so far so good.It feels very durable and solid. It opens with authority. Closing is a little harder, because the mechanics are so new and solid feeling, so it is a little harder to lock the umbrella back into place. I feel like this will become easier as I get use to it and/or over time.I have no idea how long this item will last, or of the quality over time, but as the moment it seems like a good buy.

I love this umbrella from Fnova! Yes, it's just an umbrella but this umbrella definitely hits all the right marks. I got this umbrella because I first purchased Fnovas 60 inch umbrella and loved it but wanted something just as good that I would be able to easily carry around with me on days where it .might rain. I was not let down! This is definitely one of the best compact umbrella's I've owned. It's made very well & has been extremely durable, the frame is very sturdy and it's made with the same Teflon coating that is fantastic. The umbrella is a dream to use with the auto open & close feature and once I'm ready to go inside, it doesn't drag a huge puddle in with me like some other brands. A simple shake or two of the umbrella outside and with the Teflon all the water just slips right off & it becomes completely dry again! My favorite thing about this umbrella is that even though it's made very well and feels solid, it remains lightweight and easy to travel with. I am able to carry it around with me in my bag daily and don't even notice it's there until I get stuck in the rain, then I'm happy it's there! All-in-all I'm very happy with this umbrella & with Fnova in general, I'll definitely purchase from them again. The umbrella arrived very quickly once I placed the order and was packaged well.
