Definitely get the tree straps. It works fine without it, but the tree straps definitely make it easier - especially when you never know how apart two trees are going to be.

Very impressed with this Double camping hammock from Fnova! I have always wanted a nice camping hammock! This one far surpassed my expectations! We love camping and fishing and summer days spent at the lake! This hammock will not only be terrific when we go camping with will forever go with s even if we are just going for the day to lake! I Absolutely love that everything is included and tucked away in a matching easy to find yet compact bag!I love the very impressive strength of this hammock, with a support up to 660lbs who would not be right! My whole family of 4 could fit and not have to worry about if we will have enough support. It gets pretty hot and humid here so I appreciate that this hammock is made with a high quality material that is is strong yet breathable! Not only does this come with an attached bag for easy storing its only one and a half pounds! I love the bright orange and black colors. You can see in the video even my 1 year old daughter loves the hammock. When I first saw this hammock I was like that's not like the typical hammocks I grew up with. The ones I was used to was made out of ropes and had a bar going across to make it flat. I then went and did research on hammocks and the different types. I found out that the rope ones were stupid as the ropes dig into you making it real uncomfortable to use for extended periods of time. When I got this hammock I was surprised how small it was when it was all wrapped up in the pouch. When I removed it I realized that it was huge and it also came all assembled except for the two ropes for tying onto a tree. I set it up on my deck and went inside. At first I made it real tight and it was closing up on me and there wasn't room to move around. I did some research and realized you are supposed to make it loose. After loosening the ropes and retying them it was way more comfortable. It was easy to lie flat but also close it up on top if I was interested. I then gave my daughter a turn and she refused to leave. I am thinking about buying a second set of ropes or straps so I can hang it high when I'm using it and low when my kids use it so they can easily get in/out. There are carabiners on each end making it easy to clip on/off and store in the built in pouch. I like how the pouch is connected so that it never gets lost. After using this hammock I will never go back to the rope hammocks as this cloth is way more comfortable. I have a camping trip planned in a few weeks and I'll be sure to bring this along and maybe even sleep the night in it.

This hammock is awesome! It comes in a lightweight carrying bag that is attached to the actual hammock. I can't stress how late this is for backpacking. I put it up in our backyard to test it out using the Fnova straps that I already had.I hooked it up in about three seconds and was ready to go. I had purchased a different one that was supposed to be for two people but was much smaller than this one. This is truly a two-person hammock. the one picture shows a five-year-old and a two-year-old inside the hammock and as you can tell you can't even see them because the hammock is so big. My husband and I were both able to fit in here very easily.The fabric it is made out of seems very very sturdy and lightweight. The next morning I noticed that it dried out very quickly from the dew and the kids were playing on it by mid morning. It seems to me it is a tent or windbreaker jacket like material. I would highly recommend this particular hammock for sleeping in and or backpacking. It's also great for just our backyard. It comes with carabiners and rope but I would also recommend the fnova Hammock straps as they are twice as sturdy and bigger than regular ones. If I could change anything about this set, it would be larger string to go with it.
