I bought this beach blanket because we live in south Texas and I was tired of carrying a big blanket out to the beach and then shaking it out and washing it and drying it. Unfortunately, it has recently been really cold so I tried the beach blanket in my back yard. From the time I took it out of the bag to put it up with the four stakes included took less than 2 minutes.It has two pockets in each corner to hold your valuables and another pocket with a zipper to hold the stakes or your valuables. It is made of good quality parachute material but it is very thin. I don't think that will be an issue because even putting it down in my backyard with sticks, sticker burrs and just plain old ugly grass, it didn't rip the material at all. To take it down took me even less time and I put the 4 stakes that were included in the zipper pouch. It is super light so I was able to just shake it a little bit and all the debris fell right off of it.Even though I tried it in the backyard and not the beach, it still made a nice area for me to sit on. I am looking forward to taking it to the beach when the weather heats up a bit.
